How SendFavs protects your address
Privacy is the whole point of SendFavs. Here is exactly how it works, in plain language.
What people can see
- Your display name and username
- Your profile photo and banner
- Your bio and social links
- The Favs you choose to show
- A general public location, only if you type one in
- Activity feed entries, if you enable them
What they never see
- Street address, apartment or unit
- Phone number and private email
- Legal name on the delivery
- Delivery notes and gate or access codes
- Courier destination, route and coordinates
- Distance between you and any merchant
Senders don't receive your saved address
Delivery details are stored separately from your public profile, in a table the public interface has no read access to. Sender-facing responses are assembled from an explicit list of safe fields rather than by stripping sensitive ones out.
Fulfillment providers get only what they need
When a gift is placed, our servers pass the delivery details directly to the authorized fulfillment provider. Their raw responses never reach a sender's browser.
Status updates are privacy-safe
Senders see order received, preparing, courier assigned, picked up, almost there and delivered. No maps, no courier movement, no distances, no arrival coordinates.
You stay in control
Pause Favs, require approval before fulfillment, turn off anonymous gifts, set value and daily limits, block a sender, hide your activity feed, or change your address at any time. Changing your address never alters a delivery that is already on its way.
Honest security wording
No online service can promise perfect security, and we won't claim it. What we can tell you is how the system is built, and the design goal is simple: the sender doesn't need your address to make your day.
